Choir group of Sri Guru Harkrishan Public School bagged prizes in various competitions held at school and state-level. The school bagged second prize in the Patriotic song competition orgnised by Rajaram Sitaram Library. The students sang a welcome song and received a cash prize at the blood donation camp organised by South East Central Railway Hospital. Lotus Cultural and Sporting Association had organised patriotic song competition and the School won 3rd prize for the same. Students won 3rd prize in the group singing competition organised as part of Pench Tiger Wild Week. Principal Archana Joshi appreciated the students.

Charu Castle Foundation, in association with Kullu Dussehra festival, Himachal Pradesh Government, had organised 16th ‘Folk Dance Festival-2014’. In all 53 teams, including 40 national and 13 international teams from Egypt, Kenya, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Turkey, Thailand, Russia, Bangladesh and so on participated in the fest. Students of Bhavan’s B P Vidya Mandir, Ashti came out with flying colors and scored a hat trick by winning second prize for the consecutive year. The student displayed a mesmerizing performance choreographed by team leader Madhumita Chukarbutty. A special mention needs t me made about the captivating art work done for the dance by Art Teacher Tushar Sawai. Bharti Krishna Vidya Vihar (BKVV) completed its 30 glorious years since its establishment. To celebrate this milestone, BKVV has organised a fest from Novemeber 5 that will conclude on November 17.
The inauguration function took place in BKVV campus. The Principal J V Nagalaxmi Devi garlanded the potrait of Goddess Saraswati, Bharti Krishna Tirthji Maharaj and late Padmashree Dr Vikram Marwah. It was followed by lighting the auspicious lamp, the school prayer and the welcome song. The Principal and the staff graced the occasion. Parents and participants were welcomed with enthusiasm. Principal expressed her gratitude to the principals of all schools who had sent students of their school for participation in the fest.
The first day of the fest began with literary meet for Std IX students which involved English and Hindi story writing competition, and Sanskrit essay writing competition. All the competitions recieved overwhelming response with almost 135 participants.
Jagjit Singh, Joint Secretary of VPNS and Dr. Archana Chaudhary, member of SMC,BKVV were present during the day’s events. The programme was anchored by Harsha Singtamkar. Chhaya Chaturvedi, Sapna Anand , Prajakta Dharkar and Vaishali Walke contributed to the fest’s success.
